Rich Chinese, Fast Food chains.
These are among "the classic" questions that I included on my study.

But wait until you read this, you will be puzzled more.

Back in the 1970's, we have a watch service center,
located at Harrison plaza mall.
(take note)
In the Philippine, Harrison Plaza is the largest mall in that time.

The Philippines largest Mall today is SM, dub as
the Largest Mall in Asia.

Comparing Harrison Plaza Mall to Robinsons Malls, SM, Ever Gotesco And other malls.

Think about this:
The Largest Mall in Asia is located in the Philippines.
Also other malls sprung like mushrooms.
And not only one mall but hundreds of them.

I really can't believe that the Philippines are a poor country.
How can one build malls, in a poor country?
Who will come to the malls to buy?

Ok, somebody say's that many people come to the mall not to buy,
But just to window shop.

They have a point there.

Let's analyze:

If you're a mall store owner, and pay a monthly rent around 30,000 to 50,000, and it's your 2nd years already, do you think its time to close?
I mean think about it, if there's no money circling around your store, Why not close the store?
Are they ready to pay a monthly rent without earning anything?

Have you see many stores in the malls close?

Some malls are so pact with people that you think you're in divisoria.
